There is ample opportunity for enjoyable nightlife entertainment in Key West but the main focal area for Key West nightlife is Duval Street. The abundance of bars and nightclubs in Duval Street offer a wide range of entertainment value to those who seek nightlife pleasure in Key West. This area is the premier section in the island where adults could have as much as nightlife fun as they desire.

If you a lover of dance music, you could visit Rick’s in the 200 block of this street. The same complex also houses the live bands of Durty Harry’s nearly every night. If you wish to have a much quieter atmosphere, you could visit the Tree Bar in this complex itself, a place where you could watch variety of people enjoying their nightlife. If you wish to have variety of drinks as part of your nightlife, the area between the 100 block and 600 block of Duval Street is the ideal area. If you like bar crawling, you could start with Hog’s Breath Saloon in 100 block. Sloppy Joe’s in the next block is very crowded but the complex is also home to the Lazy Gecko, Flying Monkey, Rick’s Complex, and The Bull. The Bull is a 3-bar entertainment spot, with Whistle on the second floor and the popular Garden of Eden on the third floor.

The block next to this block has The Grand, Fat Tuesday, and Hard Rock Café. La Concha Bar at the top of Crown Plaza Hotel, known locally as La Concha Hotel is a great place to watch sunset while enjoying your evening drink. You could proceed from this bar to the bar and restaurant of Crabby Dick’s and Jack Flats. You could continue to the next seven blocks also in Duval Street to have the best Key West nightlife of your life.

The nightlife of Key West does not impose any strict dress code but most restaurants would insist on the guests wearing shirts and shoes. However, several bars allow people without shirts but shoes are a must. If you expect trendy clubs or lounges, you would not find them as part of Key West nightlife. However, the bars in Duval Street and other areas of the island provide good live music and a variety of drinks. You would find many locals in all these bars, outnumbering the tourists. Overall, Key West offers a lively nightlife to visitors to this enchanting island.
